Director of Marketing Analytics & Insights

Are you passionate about using Analytics to help companies be better marketers and sellers of their products and services?

We are currently seeking a Director of Marketing Analytics & Insights that understands marketing and the business value of data and web technologies. The ideal candidate should bring 5 years’ experience defining, implementing, measuring, and reporting on KPIs for analytics intersecting both the marketing and sales funnel. Additionally, you should have at least three years’ experience working in a digital marketing agency or in-house analytics teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the digital analytics initiatives defined by the INDUSTRIAL Leadership team. The Director will collaborate with others to facilitate the implementation of new or improved reporting and visualization solutions that will aid INDUSTRIAL and Clients in their digital analytic and performance needs. The Director is also responsible for the integrity and value of the metrics generated in addition to the assurance of accurate, reliable, and effective reporting from agency and client analytics systems. These initiatives are intended to drive improvements in overall client and internal marketing operational performance with the intended outcome of driving business growth. The individual will be responsible for shaping and executing strategy, manage the work, uncover insights and recommendations, along with facilitating implementation of those recommendations. The Director would also recruit and lead a team of web analytics specialists.


Data & Analytics Technology Experience

  • A significant amount of experience (5-8 yrs) with Google Analytics Solutions, Adobe Analytics, Coremetrics, or WebTrends.
  • Proven experience with various BI, reporting, and visualization tools (Google Data Studio.  Tableau, Domo, or SAS a plus.)
  • MS Excel skills required. SQL a plus.
  • Experience in leading CRM and marketing automation platforms (, Pardot, etc.).
  • Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts.
  • Experience with Tag Management tools (Google Tag Manager, Segment)
  • A thorough understanding of digital marketing concepts, terminology and practical application of current and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and analyze data, synthesizing large volumes of data and complex questions into clear analyses and actionable findings.
  • Experience with data management, KPI analysis, and management information systems.
  • Consult with clients and internal account teams on analytical issues, such as predictive modeling, segmentation, experimental design, LTV, and program evaluation.
  • Maintain constant awareness of deliverables; keeps team focused on short-term and long-term milestones.
  • Recruit, manage and mentor an analytical project and junior marketing/web analyst team.
  • Manage relationships with Google and Adobe representatives.
  • Make data-based recommendations to improve agency and customers’ bottom line.


Education & Certifications

  • College diploma, certification or College degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Engineering, Marketing, or equivalent work experience.
  • Google Analytics Certified, SAS or Adobe Analytics certification a plus.
