Account Coordinator

Job Description
 Be on the front lines of the Agency with our Clients, assisting our teams to do great work, solve complex challenges, and deliver and delight. As a secondary point of contact for assigned key Accounts (or a primary point of contact for smaller Clients), the Account Coordinator is a key representative of the Agency to the Client. They are expected to become very knowledgeable in their Clients businesses’ and think of themselves as an external arm of the Client’s Marketing team - identifying needs and providing solutions that drive the Client business (and ours) forward.

Job Tasks 

  • Weekly project status reports to all Clients
  • Following meeting best practices: developing & communicating a clear agenda in advance, capturing meeting notes from all key discussions, sending recaps to Clients (and internal teams) with clear action items and ownership post-discussion
  • Organize and assist with internal meetings
  • Prep for all Client meetings (room setup, room reservations, meals, etc.)
  • Report to Agency on Client status (via weekly Agency production meetings)
  • Participate in Client online presence (i.e. follow on socials, join email programs, etc.)
  • Assist in research and development of Marketing Plans and Project Plans as needed
  • Manage hours on specific projects as assigned
  • Pull reporting (hours, project, etc.) from systems/PM for AM’s as assigned
  • Work with PM to manage day-to-day of production schedules
  • Work with PM to manage day-to-day of task management
  • Assist PM with development of production schedules
  • Assist PM with input of tasks into project management system
  • Organize both internal and Client meetings
  • Update repository (Google Drive) with reports, files, etc.

Job Functions

  • Manage projects and initiatives as assigned from inception to completion
  • Communicate with Clients frequently (in their tone)
  • Recognize organic growth opportunities within your existing Client base and identify those to Senior AM for proposal development
  • Assist with development of presentations and present on behalf of the agency to Clients and their teams (including creative concepts, strategies, marketing plans, etc.)
  • Work closely with Creative team on ensuring deliverables are executed against brief, on time and in accordance with Client expectations
  • Assist with the account team and project management team on internal process and daily management of activities
  • Conduct research for Clients / New Business opportunities as assigned
  • Provide clear communications across all teams


  • Become knowledgeable about your Clients’ industry, business, products and services
  • A secondary Point of Contact for assigned Clients (primary on smaller accounts)
  • Daily manager of the work - keeping up with all current projects, timelines and ensuring all Client expectations are met
  • Daily point of contact internally to answer team questions and ensure work progresses forward
  • Organizer of information; preparing for kickoffs, internal meetings, major Client meetings
  • Representative of the Agency to Client

  • Within avg. of targeted budget hours vs. SOW (reasonable differences acknowledged with rationale)

Career History 

  • 1 - 3 years experience in an Account Coordinator or Marketing Coordinator role
  • Agency experience preferred
  • B2B experience preferred
  • Management of multiple brands, Clients, or projects at once
